Raw Sugar Café Show pics and Interview
Last night's show in Ottawa was a very snowy show. But never the less, a good amount of people came out to see me play with Ben Somer and Matt Paxton.
Local photographer Ming Wu took some pictures, and I was interviewed by Stephanie. You can see all the pictures from the show, and listen to the interview on Ming's site HERE
Other Soul
After a wild weekend in Toronto, Giant Hand is back in Ottawa and as you can see from the post below MTV, the Tranzac and Southern Souls were all a blast! Check out some photos from behind the scenes of the Southern Souls performance here: PHOTOS
Much Love
Toronto Has Been Good To Me
I have been in Toronto for the last couple days. I had a show at the Tranzac Club where MTV came and interviewed me and filmed my set for MTV News. It is scheduled to air in early March. I will let you know the exact date when I do. I also got to be a part of one of the coolest music projects in Canada, Southern Souls. The site is run entirely by Mitch Fillion who films artists in odd settings playing their music. You can see the video of me in the MEDIA section.
I have also received my information for CMW. I will be playing at Global Village Backpackers at 9:00PM Fri. March 12th.
Hope to see you all there!

Giant Hand makes “Hottest Bands in Canada” List
I made the "Hottest Bands in Canada" list this year. Not even last place! Number 21 in fact!
Here's what was said:
"Giant Hand scares me in a titillating way.
(Jim, Quick Before It Melts)
As if playing some of Canada's biggest festivals weren't good enough, opening for Daniel Johnston sealed the deal. Giant Hand is the real thing.
(Wells)
Less than two years ago, Kirk Ramsay had never even picked up a guitar. Then he watched a documentary on Daniel Johnston, was inspired to start playing...and a year and a half later, he was opening for Johnston himself. Throw in an amazing debut (Coming Home), appearances at Pop Montreal and the Ottawa Bluesfest, and opening spots for the likes of Handsome Furs, Ohbijou, Timber Timbre and The Lovely Feathers, and you've got yourself one impressive year."
You can read the whole list HERE and see who made the number 1 spot!
