Hey!  Great news!  Giant Hand has been nominated for 3 awards in this years edition of “Best of 09” in the Ottawa Xpress’ Readers poll!  Giant Hand has been nominated for “Best new musical artist/group” “Best rock/pop/dance/other band of 2009” and “Best rock/pop/dance/other album/EP of 2009”

Giant Hand Shakes Hands With His Hero

Last week, everything came full circle, and I opened for my hero, Daniel Johnston.  Not much longer than a year ago, I watched the Devil and Daniel Johnston.  Not only was it one of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen, but it inspired me to get a guitar and make music.  Daniel’s music means so much to me, and to open for him was a dream come true.  I just want to thank Daniel’s brother Dick and Daniel’s tour manager and guitarist, Brett for helping me get this gig.  It meant the world to me.
